Mew Lake Campground

Mew Lake Campground is a developed, vehicle-accessible campground at km 30.8 on Highway 60. Its 131 campsites include RV and electrical sites, plus yurts and camp cabins, and it stays open all year. It’s a practical base if you want services and road access along Algonquin’s Highway 60 corridor. The park lists nearby walks including Bat Lake, Track and Tower, and Hemlock Bluff.

The sites don’t all feel the same. Campers report that highway-facing sites can hear traffic, while some lakeside sites are roomier and have direct water access. Check the campground map before booking if quiet, privacy or being close to the lake matters to you.

The central comfort station has flush toilets, showers and laundry, with barrier-free access; two campsites are listed as wheelchair accessible. There’s a beach and a dog-free zone, plus a separate pet recreation area and beach on the east side. Pets must stay leashed.

Yurts and camp cabins give you roofed options alongside the tent and RV sites. Winter camping is available, with additional first-come, first-served opportunities. The nearby Two Rivers Store has basic groceries, camping supplies and a snack bar during its seasonal operating period, so plan other supplies for a winter stay.
