Guide
Brooks Lookout is a named coastal viewpoint on Booderee’s St Georges Headland walking network. From here, you get a broad look over the sea and north along the coast. Add it if you’re already walking the headland; it’s reached on foot, so it is a lot to ask for as your only stop on a short visit.
The lookout is part of the marked Circuit Trail from Steamers Beach car park. The full loop is 11.4 km, and allow about four hours to visit its main sites. This is a proper walk rather than a quick roadside pull-in. The route is grade 3. Bring food and plenty of water, and stay on marked tracks.
The lookout opens onto the sea and the northern coastline. For a photo, use a wide frame that keeps the pale shore and green headland with the water; a tight shot of the sea loses what makes this view distinct.
