Stony Creek: Tidal Pools“You're approaching Stony Creek's car park, with a short, rocky walk down to a little coastal cove. Choose this for a look at the tidal pools; there's very little sand for settling in on the beach.”

Trail guide
Stony Creek Walk is an easy 0.3 mi (0.5 km) out-and-back from the parking loop at the end of unsealed Stony Creek Road. Compacted steps lead down from the parking area, then an informal footpath continues toward the coast. Allow about 30–60 minutes for the walk and a short pause at the inlet. This is a quick cove visit, not a long trail day.
At the end, Stony Creek reaches a sheltered rocky inlet, with the creek running between low banks toward the surf. The rock formations and protected water are the main draw; expect a small coastal stop rather than a wide sandy beach.
Use the parking loop at the road’s end. Stony Creek Road is unsealed, though a four-wheel-drive vehicle isn’t required; take care on the gravel. The final stretch is an informal path and the rocky water’s edge is uneven. Pets aren’t permitted anywhere in Booderee.
