Brandywine Ski Resort

Brandywine Ski Resort is a downhill ski and snowboard area on West Highland Road, one of two separate hills in the Boston Mills/Brandywine operation. It's a good fit for a nearby day of lessons, rental gear, local laps or night skiing; don't come expecting big-mountain vertical. Boston Mills is the sister hill about five minutes away, and some day-ticket products include both areas.

Brandywine has its own progression terrain park. The operator also offers first-timer lessons, advanced clinics and equipment rentals. Visitors often praise the instructors and the friendly learning atmosphere, so this is an easy hill to consider if you're new to skiing or want a low-key day with family. The two resorts' published acreage and lift statistics are combined, so they don't tell you Brandywine's size by itself.

Polar Blast is a separate snow-tubing area beside Brandywine, with several lanes, faster “super lanes,” and a two-lane conveyor that carries tubes back uphill. Tubing runs in reserved time slots and can sell out; book ahead if it's the main reason you're coming. Check current operation and snow conditions before heading out, since both skiing and tubing depend on the winter season.

The resort operator lists BW Cafe and Drifters Bar at Brandywine, plus a separate BW Polar Blast Tubing Cafe & Bar by the tubing area. There are places to take a break without driving to another town; check what is open when you plan your visit.

Boston Mills and Brandywine opened as separate competing ski areas in 1963. They're now operated together, but remain distinct hills several minutes apart. That history explains why some pages combine their trail, lift and acreage figures: those totals cover both resorts.
