Tabletop Trail

Tabletop Trail is a 0.7-mile, one-way dirt segment in the Wetmore trail network, with rolling hills and about 100 feet of elevation change. Plan about 30 minutes on the named segment itself. It does not close as a loop: add it to a longer network walk or turn around. The separate Tabletop–Wetmore circuit is about 2.3 miles and combines several named trails.

The named access is Wetmore Trailhead. From its information board, a downhill path leads into the shared trail network; the Tabletop segment starts farther in, so the 0.7-mile figure does not include the walk from a parking lot. Use the park map to follow the connected paths. The Wetmore lot is mainly for horse trailers; hikers have more parking at Pine Hollow, 5465 Quick Road. Wetmore Trailhead has a restroom and information kiosk.

Expect a dirt path over rolling ground, not a flat walk. The segment is not wheelchair accessible. Horses also use these trails, so yield to riders. Dogs are allowed on park trails but must stay on a leash no longer than six feet.

The Wetmore network follows old horse paths and logging roads. Flood damage closed Tabletop Trail in 2003; after restoration, a 2013 management plan aligned its corridor with the Wetmore and Langes Run loops. That history helps explain why this short named trail is part of a broader set of connected routes rather than a stand-alone loop.
