Daintree Tea Farmgate Stall is a small, unmanned roadside stall at the plantation in Diwan, where you can buy Daintree-grown tea and honey. It's a short stop for a direct-from-grower purchase, not a café or plantation tour. A small display of historical plantation photos gives you a little more to look at while you browse.
The stall sells black tea in loose-leaf and tea-bag form, along with honey made on the plantation. The Nicholas family established the plantation in 1978 and still runs it. They say the tea goes from first picking to packed product within a day, so this is a good place to pick up something grown along the road rather than a general souvenir.
The stall is self-service: leave payment in the honesty box or use the operator's online payment option. Watch for the small entrance on Cape Tribulation Road, and stop at the property's Stop sign; visitors are asked not to drive farther in. Keep the visit brief if you're expecting an activity—there's no teahouse, café or guided plantation tour.
