Treetops Adventure Cape Tribulation

Treetops Adventure Cape Tribulation is a guided zipline course in the Daintree, with nine lines linking timber platforms high in the rainforest. The flights run from 15 to 130 m and reach up to 15 m above the ground. It suits people who want a hands-on canopy experience and feel comfortable with heights; if you expect one long, high-speed ride, some visitors find the zipline portions brief.

After a harness and safety briefing, a guide leads the group between platforms on ziplines and suspended walkways. The tour includes an enclosed 360-degree viewing platform 8 m up, an easy treetop walk and a final dual zipline. Guides also share information about the Daintree ecosystem, so there is a forest-tour side to the experience as well as the rides.

A steep 200 m gravel walk leads to the course. You need moderate fitness, mobility and confidence with heights. The minimum age is four and the weight limit is 120 kg. Children aged 4 to 12 need one participating adult for every four children; for ages 13 to 16, an adult must remain contactable at reception.

Allow roughly two to two-and-a-half hours overall for the guided experience, briefing and canopy walk, though the zipline flights take up only part of that time.
