Cape Tribulation Beach and Kulki“You're coming up on Cape Tribulation Beach and the Kulki day-use area. I'd stop for the short boardwalk, where you get a view of rainforest-covered slopes running down to the beach and rocky headlands.”

Trail guide
The Kulki Saddle Track is a 700 m return walk from Kulki car park, down the saddle to Myall Beach and back the same way. It takes about 30 minutes. The short distance hides a steep descent and high steps on the climb back. Choose it for a quick rainforest-to-beach change of scene; the separate 600 m Grade 1 Kulki boardwalk is an easier walk to an ocean lookout, not the beach.
The track crosses the headland ridge, then drops through coastal forest to the sand. High steps make the descent and especially the return climb strenuous. This row covers the same route back to Kulki car park; it does not include the longer walk along Myall Beach toward Dubuji.
The track reaches Myall Beach on Cape Tribulation’s southern side, where rainforest meets reef. The bottom section can be affected by high tides, so check tide timing before you descend and follow park crocodile-safety advice at the water. On the beach, frame the pale sand against the rainforest edge to show the walk’s distinctive change of scenery. Pets are not permitted in Daintree National Park.
