Redrock Falls is a string of cascades beside Redrock Lake in Many Glacier, reached on the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail. It’s a worthwhile waterfall-and-lake destination if you don’t mind a mostly wooded walk. The National Park Service measures the route at 1.9 miles each way, about four miles round trip, starting at the west end of the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn parking lot. It’s relatively flat, but this is a hike, not a roadside stop.

The approachThe trail crosses Wilbur Creek, then a side path leads to Fishercap Lake.
The trail crosses Wilbur Creek, then a side path leads to Fishercap Lake. From there it winds through aspen and shaded forest before the view opens at Redrock Lake. The NPS route listing gives 267 feet of climbing and 105 feet of descent on the way in, so expect some ups and downs even though the overall walk is gentle.

Red rock along the lake’s west shore gives the falls and lake their name; the color is the detail to look for as you reach the water.

Short informal side paths and a little scrambling reach different views of the upper and lower falls; take care on the wet rocks. The trailhead has a seasonal restroom.
