Running Eagle Falls is a waterfall in Glacier's Two Medicine area, reached from the trailhead past the entrance station. Water can pour over the upper ledge during spring runoff, then seem to vanish into a hole in the rock and reappear lower down as the flow recedes. That's why the falls are also called Trick Falls, and why they can look different from one visit to another.
The short route, and the longer loopThe falls route is 0.3 mile (0.
The falls route is 0.3 mile (0.5 km) each way, with about 47 feet of elevation gain, to a viewing area. It is wheelchair-accessible to that point, but not past the creek. The separate Running Eagle Falls Nature Trail is a 0.7-mile loop, so it adds a little more walking. Parking and accessible and family restrooms are at the trailhead.

Look from the upper cliff down to the dark opening below: runoff can obscure the lower outlet, while lower summer flow may emerge from it. For a photo, include the upper ledge and lower opening when both are visible; the rock wall helps show how the water changes route. Stay in the designated viewing area and give the creek and falls room.
