Aster Falls is a 20-foot cascade in the Two Medicine area, dropping over a rock face in three steps. It’s a nice pick if you want a short walk to a real waterfall rather than another roadside stop. Expect roughly 2½ to 3 miles round trip from South Shore Trailhead: route descriptions differ a little, with one placing the falls 1.2 miles from the trailhead and another measuring 2.8 miles for the return walk.

The south-shore route winds through forest and open meadows before a short spur drops to the base of the falls. At the lakeside start, look back toward Painted Tepee Peak and Sinopah Mountain across Two Medicine Lake. Aster Park Overlook is a separate, much steeper extension—more than 500 feet of climbing in three-quarters of a mile—so decide whether you want that climb before you leave the falls.
