Guide
Pine Springs Campground is the park’s developed front-country campground just inside the entrance off US 62/180. Its 35 sites include 20 walk-in tent sites, 13 RV sites and two group sites. The visitor center and several trailheads are nearby, so it’s a practical place to stay if you want to start a hike from the park. All sites are reservable through Recreation.gov.
Each tent site has a 10-by-10-foot pad and picnic table; the RV sites have tables and fit vehicles up to 40 feet. The two areas feel different: tent campers often find their sites more tucked among the shrubs, while the RV area is open and can feel like a parking lot. There are no RV hookups.
Potable water, year-round flush and vault toilets, and trash collection are available. There are no showers, dump station, camp store, food service, ice or firewood sales, so arrive with what you need. Cell reception is very spotty; the nearby visitor center has Wi-Fi.
