Cabin Lake Trail

This moderate 4.2-mile (6.7 km) loop starts at the Bonhomme Street trailhead on Jasper's Pyramid Bench and winds through forest to Cabin Lake. The route follows the 8 Town Trail and the Mina Lake/Sidewinder connector, reaches Cabin Lake via the Cabin Lake Fire Road and Trail 3 switchback, and returns on the connected Trail 3/8 network. Allow about 2–2.5 hours; the sampled route profile ranges from 1,066 to 1,227 m, or about 528 feet (161 m) of relief between the lowest and highest points. Smaller lakes and the Cabin Lake shoreline provide the main scenery, and the loop has no facilities or backcountry camps. This is a multi-use route with several junctions: follow the Cabin Lake and trail markers carefully, yield to horseback riders and cyclists, and keep dogs leashed. The loop is reachable on foot from Jasper townsite.
