Stehekin Pastry Company is a bakery and café two miles up Stehekin Valley Road from the boat landing. It makes scratch-made pastries and other baked goods, espresso, ice cream, and a limited breakfast and lunch menu. With few dining choices in the valley, this is one to know about if you’re spending time in Stehekin. Cinnamon rolls and the pastry counter are recurring favorites.

Day visitors can use the shuttle to get up the valley. The bakery’s operating schedule is seasonal and can change, so check its current dates close to your visit before building breakfast or lunch around it. The landing is two miles away, so decide how you’ll cover that stretch before heading up.
The bakery was built in 1989 and is owned and run by Roberta and Cragg Courtney. Indoor and garden-side outdoor seating make it easy to stay for coffee instead of grabbing something to go. Its local following is part of the appeal: this is a working valley bakery as well as a stop for visitors.
