Guide
The West Pinnacles Visitor Contact Station is a small visitor-information building by the park’s west entrance. It is a practical first stop for visitor information and trail advice before heading out on the west-side walks. Think quick service stop rather than a large interpretive center. Staffed service can close seasonally when staffing is limited, so check the current NPS update before relying on the building or store.
The small park store carries books, souvenirs, water and flashlights. Restrooms and parking serve the station area, too. There is no prepared-food service listed here, so bring a meal or plan to eat elsewhere. The available information does not specify the restroom type, a refill fountain or accessibility details.
From Soledad, follow CA 146 east for about 14 miles; the approach narrows to a one-lane road. The separate fee booth is beside the contact station, and the west entrance is for day use. There is no road through the park to its east side, so plan to drive around the outside if you are visiting both halves.
