Reids Flat Cottage

Reids Flat Cottage is a renovated heritage cottage in Royal National Park's Audley precinct, above the separate Reids Flat picnic area on the Hacking River foreshore. It sleeps up to eight across four bedrooms, with an open-plan kitchen and living room looking toward the river. Choose it as an overnight base for a family or group wanting time in the park; this is a stay, not a quick roadside stop.

From the cottage, walk down to Audley Boatshed to rent a boat and paddle on Audley Weir, or bring a bike for Lady Carrington Drive, a historic route that follows the river. The nearby Audley Dance Hall Café offers coffee and refreshments; it is separate from the self-catering cottage.

The kitchen, drinking water and gas or electric barbecue make meals straightforward. The cottage also has two bathrooms, flush toilets, hot showers, a washing machine and dryer, and bed linen; bring beach towels. One bathroom and a queen bedroom are wheelchair accessible, but the overall access grade is medium and help may be needed in the kitchen or on the deck and verandah.
