Trail guide
Mirador Lago Skottsberg is a short out-and-back from Paine Grande to the marked lookout on Lago Skottsberg. Plan for about 5 km (3.1 mi) round trip and roughly 1.5 hours. The approach is described as easy and mostly flat. Start at Paine Grande after the catamaran crossing, follow the W approach to the signed lookout, and turn back there. The through-route continues toward Campamento Italiano, which is a much longer hike.
At the lookout, Lago Skottsberg fills the foreground and the pale granite towers of Los Cuernos rise beyond it. For a phone photo, keep the water low in the frame and include the towers across the lake so the two features read together.
The walk starts at Paine Grande, reached by catamaran, so check the current crossing timetable before planning your day. No food or water stop along the short route was verified; carry what you need from the refuge area. Parking details at the ferry departure point were not established.
