Twin Falls Campground is a designated overnight campsite in a forested bend beside the Yoho River and Twin Falls Creek. It is a stop along a multi-day valley route, not a roadside campground. From Takakkaw Falls parking, the Twin Falls route is listed at 16.4 km with a two-day hiking time. You’ll need a backcountry permit; book ahead for a July–September trip, when most sites require reservations. Yoho Valley Road opens seasonally from mid-June to mid-October, and its tight switchbacks rule out RVs and trailers. Check current road and trail conditions before setting out.

Expect tent pads, dry toilets, shared picnic tables, and food storage cables or lockers, the standard setup in Yoho’s designated backcountry campgrounds. Campfires aren’t allowed, so plan to cook on a stove and store food in the provided wildlife-proof system. Potable water isn’t confirmed in the campground information; carry water or a treatment plan.

Continue along the Yoho River toward Twin Falls, a double cascade, passing Laughing Falls on the way. The historic Twin Falls Tea House is by the falls but is a separate site, not a campground facility. The trail crosses drier Rocky Mountain forest; mountain goats are sometimes seen above the falls, so keep an eye on the slopes.
