Canisbay Lake Day Use Area is a formal picnic ground with a sandy swimming beach on Canisbay Lake. It sits on Highway 60 at km 23.1 and makes sense as a swim-and-picnic break on the drive through Algonquin. A daily vehicle permit is required for park access.
The beach is unsupervised, and pets aren't allowed on the sand. Canisbay Lake is also used for canoe trips, with a separate canoe access point beside the day-use beach. For a lake photo, let the curve of sand lead into the water instead of aiming straight across it.
