Bartlett Lodge

Bartlett Lodge is a seasonal lakeside lodge on Cache Lake, near the middle of Algonquin’s Highway 60 corridor. It has log cabins, platform glamping tents and Artists Studios, plus a dining room. The quiet lake setting and boat arrival are part of the draw; dinner is open to people who are not staying overnight.

For dinner, reserve ahead; walk-ins aren’t accepted. Drive to Cache Lake Access Point at Highway 60 km 23.5, park there and call the lodge as directed. Staff arrange your water taxi and provide the parking permit. Arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your seating. The lodge is across the lake from the landing, so build the crossing into your plans.

The dining room serves a four-course dinner with several choices. The dining room does not serve alcohol, so bring your own wine, beer or spirits if you want a drink. Guests often praise the food and attentive service; dishes change, so go for the full meal rather than a particular reported entrée.

Guests can use canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, sailboats and mountain bikes . A 2 km Moose Trail runs on the grounds, giving you an easy way to stretch your legs between time on the water and meals.

The lodge has welcomed visitors since 1917. Its lounge is in a century-old log cabin with original Canadian art; the Artists Studios occupy a building made from 110-year-old logs. The property has 70 solar panels and a solar-powered pontoon, and some cottages are off-grid with wood heat.
