At Pisgah Rock, you look along a densely wooded gorge, with sandstone cliffs and the creek far below. The lookout is the payoff, rather than a long walk with lots of changing scenery. For a photo, keep a little of the sandstone ledge in the foreground; it gives the tree-covered valley some scale.
