Feshiebruach is a short circular walk through mixed pinewood, with blaeberry, heather and the chance to hear red squirrels. The loop is about 1 km (0.62 mi) from Feshiebridge Car Park; allow around 45 minutes. Expect firm gravel tracks, narrower unsurfaced sections and moderate slopes; some patches can be muddy. The stored line is an approximate trace from the local map, not a surveyed track, so follow the path on the ground at junctions.

What to look forBlaeberry and heather grow beneath the pines.

Blaeberry and heather grow beneath the pines. Red squirrels are around; listen for faint scratching as they climb the trees. It’s a compact forest walk rather than a climb to a summit or named viewpoint.

Feshiebridge has a picnic area but no public toilets. The approach road climbs in steep zig-zags; the nearest places to eat are in Kincraig, with public toilets in Aviemore, Glenmore and Kingussie. Dogs are allowed under responsible access rules, but a local ground-nesting bird notice asks for leads from 1 April to 15 August.
