Trail guide
The Inshriach Forest Loop is a moderate circular walk of 5.3 km (3¼ mi), usually about two hours. It follows firm gravel tracks with gentle and moderate slopes through woodland. Feshiebridge car park by the B970 is the access point; the mapped loop begins roughly 60 m from the parking pin.
The walk passes through a forest area with remnants of ancient Caledonian pinewood and offers views towards the western Cairngorm Mountains. No particular viewpoint is named, so treat the views as part of the walk rather than a guaranteed stop.
Some paths in the local forest network are not waymarked on the ground; carry the loop map and check at junctions. The local paths leaflet asks for dogs to be on a lead in Inshriach Forest from 1 April to 15 August to protect ground-nesting birds; check current signs before setting out.
