The usual calendar lists tulips and daffodils in April, blueberries from late June through August, aronia berries from late July through August, and sunflowers from mid-July through September. Those windows can shift, so confirm the crop you want before driving out. Farm tours and field trips run from April through October and need to be scheduled by email. This is a place for picking and farm products rather than a prepared-food stop; the farm also sells honey and seasonal produce.

A farm with a classroom tooDaniel and Michele Greenfield signed a 60-year lease for this farm in 2006.

Daniel and Michele Greenfield signed a 60-year lease for this farm in 2006. Daniel had worked as a Kent State adjunct and fourth-grade teacher, and the operation grew around farm-based environmental education as well as growing food. The farm is part of the park's long-running effort to keep historic farmsteads in production. Agriculture in the valley reaches much further back: Indigenous communities domesticated plants here by the late Archaic period.
