Trail guide
Emmagen Beach Walk is an easy 1.4 km return route from Bloomfield Road to Emmagen Beach, about 5 km north of Cape Tribulation. It’s a marked Grade 2 walk; allow 30–60 minutes, depending on how long you spend on the sand.
Find the access roughly 400–500 m before Emmagen Creek when heading north from Cape Tribulation. A short footpath runs through rainforest to the beach. Follow the open sand toward the creek end for the full walk; this last stretch has no marked tread, so the exact turnaround can vary.
Crocodiles may be hidden near the water’s edge, and marine stingers can be present along the coast. Stay out of the water and well back from the edge. Domestic pets aren’t allowed in the national park; certified assistance animals follow Queensland rules.
