This point-to-point leg is about 11 km / 6.9 miles one way and takes about 6 hours. The stored line begins at the Lake Monowai Car Park and follows the mapped corridor to Green Lake Hut. DOC also describes an alternative approach from Borland Road, about 8 km / 5.0 miles to the hut; that approach is not part of this stored line.
