Village Inn at Apgar is a 36-room motor inn on Lake McDonald, two miles inside Glacier's west entrance. Every room faces the lake and mountain skyline, so choose it for the waterside setting and a night in the park. Built in 1956 and renovated in 2015, it's a mid-century inn with a rustic feel.
Options include standard motel rooms, kitchen units, and one- or two-bedroom family units for up to six. Kitchen units have a stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and basic utensils; cooking is allowed only in those rooms.
There are no TVs or air conditioning. Guests especially value sitting outside to watch the water, while some describe the rooms as dated or basic. This is a better fit if being beside the lake matters more than modern room extras.
