This is the Point Addis-to-Red Rocks section of the Surf Coast Walk, a one-way coastal walk from Point Addis carpark to Hurst Road. It follows the beach, climbs to the ochre cliff at Red Rocks, then finishes on the Hurst Road side. The older stage list gives 2.5 km; tracing the full carpark-to-Hurst line comes to about 2.9 km. Allow around an hour. It’s a good short outing if you’re happy with sand and a stepped climb.

The route starts with Point Addis beach and changes to formed track, with short steep hills and rugged steps as it climbs toward Red Rocks. Loose sand slows the beach section; the climb and steps are where you’ll notice the moderate grade. Some shore points at Point Addis can’t be passed at high tide, so check access before you start. The ochre cliff face and open ocean views are the payoff.
