Trail guide
Green Point South Trail is an out-and-back from the south edge of Green Point Campground to Combers Beach, about 0.6 mile round trip. It trades a short forest approach for a wide sandy shore and surf. Allow about 30 minutes for the walk, longer if you want time on the beach. The final descent is steep, so this feels more like a beach-access walk than a level stroll.
The route starts on compacted forest path. A short wooden boardwalk leads into the steep drop, then a sandy spur reaches the shoreline. Turn back the same way; the 0.6-mile figure covers the campground entrance to the beach and back, not an open-ended beach walk. This is separate from the Combers Beach Trail, which starts at its own Highway 4 parking lot.
The trail entrance is inside Green Point Campground, which operates from May into mid-October. The campground map shows this beach access, but day-use entry and parking for people who are not camping were not confirmed; check with Parks Canada before setting out, especially outside the campground season. High tides can make shoreline routes impassable, and waves can sweep across the beach. Dogs must stay on leash in the reserve.
