If waterfalls are calling, the Doyles River Falls trailhead is at Doyles River Parking (mile 81.1), a separate pull-off down the road. From the overlook itself, you can hop on the A.T. and link nearby routes if you’re piecing together a circuit.

Typical Shenandoah roadside sightings apply: deer browsing near dusk, soaring raptors on thermals, and songbirds working the edges. Black bears are possible in the broader area—scan the coves with binoculars, especially in quieter hours.
