The Wimbachbrücke National Park Information Point is a small, free, unstaffed exhibit beside the car park and the main starting point for walks into Wimbachtal. Stop for the valley’s geology before you set out; on its own, it’s a modest attraction. The information point is seasonal and closes in winter. The adjacent car park is paid, even though entry to the exhibit is free.

A geological profile and model explain how the area’s older and younger rocks fit together, where faults can interrupt that order, and how the underlying geology shapes soils and plant communities. The Wimbachklamm gorge farther up the valley is a separate attraction, where the same story plays out at full scale.

Getting insideThe entrance is step-free, and most exhibits can be read or viewed from seated height.

The entrance is step-free, and most exhibits can be read or viewed from seated height. Four marked accessible spaces and an accessible public toilet are at the car park, about 30 metres from the entrance. The Wimbachklamm bus stop is roughly 100 metres away. This is an exhibit rather than a staffed desk, so it isn’t a place to get live trail advice.
