Conservation Hut is a café and conservation gathering place at the Valley of the Waters, above Jamison Valley in Blue Mountains National Park. Its veranda looks toward Mount Solitary and the forested valley. If you want a proper pause with food or coffee before or after a walk, this is an easy place to build into the day; you can enjoy the view without setting off on a separate hike.

The veranda faces the Jamison Valley and Mount Solitary, with outdoor seating close to the outlook. For a photo, include a little of the veranda or a table at the bottom of the frame, then compose toward the ridges; the foreground makes it clear this is a view from the Hut rather than a generic mountain panorama.

This is a full café stop for breakfast or lunch, coffee and dessert, with a menu that goes beyond a quick drink. The advertised menu has included French-toast croissants, fish tacos and Korean-style chicken sandwiches. The Valley of the Waters and Nature tracks start or finish here, and Valley of the Waters lookout and the Overcliff-Undercliff track are nearby, so allow time for a meal if you're pairing the café with a walk. Check current track conditions before setting out.

A hut with a conservation historyThe story began with a tea room built here in 1930.

The story began with a tea room built here in 1930. Local conservationists renovated the derelict building and reopened it as the Conservation Hut in 1963. It became a meeting place for walkers and conservation work, with refreshments, ecology displays and space to plan campaigns. The present building is a later replacement, but the Hut name still carries that history.
