The Walk

The named Weeping Rock circuit is an easy-to-moderate loop of roughly 1.4–1.6 km (about 45–60 minutes), with some steps and short steep sections on a well‑formed, clearly signed path. It starts near the Wentworth Falls picnic area and links neatly with other local highlights like Fletchers Lookout and Princes Rock, or longer options such as Overcliff–Undercliff and the Charles Darwin Walk.

Weekends are popular across the Wentworth Falls area—arrive early for a quieter feel. The circuit is open 24 hours. The falls are at their most photogenic after rain, while the shady gully makes this a pleasant detour on hot days.

Safety & Practicalities

Rocks around the cascade are slick, and there are unfenced drops—use the staircase for viewpoints and keep a close eye on kids, especially in or after wet weather. Facilities (parking, drinking water, flush toilets, picnic tables) are at the Wentworth Falls picnic area; there’s also a nearby café for food and drinks. Dogs aren’t permitted on the circuit.
