From the picnic area, detour to Jamison Lookout, then follow the main path beside the road to Wentworth Falls Lookout. Around 200 steps descend to Fletchers Lookout and a view of the waterfall plunging about 100 m. Continue to the shallow pool at the top of the falls, where stepping stones cross the water, then retrace about 100 m to the Weeping Rock circuit junction.

This is a roughly 2 km loop from Wentworth Falls picnic area, combining Jamison Lookout, Wentworth Falls Lookout, the upper falls and a creek-side return by Weeping Rock. Connected trail geometry for that full visit measures 1.96 km; the published route page lists 1.6 km, so expect a little more walking than the headline. Allow about an hour. It is a compact route with a steep stepped descent and a gentler return.

The creek-side return is gentler and less busy than the main descent. At Weeping Rock, Jamison Creek spills over a broad rock overhang into shallow pools; it is the route’s signature photo stop. Metal stairs run beside the rock before the path follows the creek. Freshwater crayfish may be visible. At the Charles Darwin Walk junction, turn uphill left to rejoin the main path back to the picnic area.

Wentworth Falls picnic area has tables, barbecues, drinking water and flush toilets, but no bins. The separate Conservation Hut café is about 800 m away.
