Trail guide
From an approximate village access in Newtonmore, this walk follows pavements and road toward Jack Richmond Memorial Park, circles its short inner paths, then returns to the start by the same access. The published full return is 1.5 miles (2.6 km) and takes about an hour. The leaflet map is schematic and does not mark an exact start; the saved OSM trace is approximate and measures 1.16 miles, so check the access and alignment locally.
The park paths are grassy and gravel, mostly smooth and firm. The route is described as wheelchair and buggy accessible. The park itself has about 450 yards of wide, level paths; that figure describes the inner paths, not the full walk from the village, which also uses pavements and road.
The woodland circuit has views of Creag Dhu, also called the Black Rock, and a picnic bench where you can stop.
