“Up ahead is Point Roadknight, where a low rocky point and reef shelter the bay from the open surf. I'd stop here for a beach break, especially at low tide when more of the rock pools and formations are exposed.”

Point Roadknight is a roughly 700 m, northeast-facing beach beside a low rocky point and reef near Anglesea. The point and reef extend about 500 m east, sheltering the bay and making this a gentler surf and paddling stop. Come for the water, or let the rock pools and formations turn it into a slower visit.

Explore at low tideLow tide exposes more of the rock pools and formations around the point.

Low tide exposes more of the rock pools and formations around the point. The beach walk toward Urquhart Bluff is tide-sensitive too, so check the tide before setting out. For photos, frame the pools with the point and surf beyond; the waterline changes what you can see.
