This 2 mi (3 km) circular walk starts at the Village Information Point by the River Earn footbridge and climbs about 140 m onto the hillside behind St Fillans. The payoff is a view over Loch Earn from the contour path above the village. It is short but moderate, with uneven ground and a loose scree section; allow about an hour.

Go west along Main Road to The Four Seasons, then climb on tarmac and vehicle tracks to the Peat Road junction. Beyond a deer-fence gate, the path traverses the hillside for about 800 m. The tread is sometimes narrow and slippery; loose scree lies on one section, above the path. After a kissing gate, a broad forestry track descends toward Station Road and the old station area. Follow the signed railway-path return past Crocodile Rock, then take the zigzag through the play park, Earn View and Shoemaker’s Lane to the start.
