Parking

Reach Stehekin by passenger boat; there is no road connection from Chelan. From Stehekin, hike or ride 4.5 miles up Stehekin Valley Road, cross the river, then follow Company Creek Road about 1 mile to the trailhead. Trailhead parking capacity was not found.

Safety

The long, steep route has narrow tread, poorly maintained sections, rocky bluffs, and slide paths. Company Creek can be hazardous during peak runoff. Snow makes Hilgard Pass dangerous; carry an ice axe if snow is possible. Treat creek water; there are no facilities at the creekside camp spots.

“Company Creek Trailhead is ahead, the start of a steep climb toward views of Sable Ridge and glaciated Bonanza Peak. Those views begin a little over two miles up, so even a shorter outing means a substantial uphill walk.”
