North Era Beach is a sandy surf beach on Royal National Park's Coast Track. From Garie Beach car park, allow about 1.5 hours on foot each way, or roughly three hours of walking round trip, before your time on the sand. There is no vehicle access. Treat it as a planned coastal walk rather than a quick beach stop, and pack water and food; no visitor facilities are listed at North Era.

North Era is unpatrolled. Dangerous rip currents, sudden drop-offs and unexpectedly large waves can occur, and conditions can change rapidly. A calm-looking sea is not a reliable sign of safety. If you want to swim under supervision, the closest flagged patrolled beaches are South Era and Burning Palms, though their patrols are limited to part-time periods in peak summer. Choose a patrolled beach instead when that supervision matters.
