Uluṟu Dune Walk is an out-and-back sandy path from the coach sunset viewing area to a dune-top lookout facing Uluṟu, Kata Tjuṯa and the desert beyond. It is an easy Grade 2 walk, but loose sand makes the short climb slower underfoot; allow 30 to 45 minutes. Published distances range from 500 to 600 m return, while the mapped route is about 0.8 km (0.5 mi) out and back.

This is a good choice when you want a panorama away from the viewing-area crowds without taking on a longer walk. For photos, frame all of Uluṟu rather than zooming in on particular sacred places.
