SH6 Makarora–Hāwea restricted to escorted convoys
SH6 between Makarora and Lake Hāwea remains closed to general traffic; use the daily escorted convoys. - Cause: multiple recent slips have closed the highway. - Convoy times: from Makarora village southbound at 7:15 am, returning north from Isthmus Peak Track car park at 8:00 am; from Isthmus Peak Track car park northbound at 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm, returning south from Makarora village at 12:45 pm and 6:15 pm.
