Caneel Bay: designated areas only; pier closed

Caneel Beach is open, but visitors must stay in the designated public areas; other areas remain closed because of remaining safety risks, and the Caneel Bay pier is closed because the structure has been deemed unsafe. - Public access is limited to public parking, the paved pedestrian pathway to Caneel Beach, and the Historic Durloo Plantation viewing area; use the park’s map to identify the open and closed areas. - The parking lot is open 7 a.m.–5 p.m. and secured by a locked gate outside those hours; remove vehicles before closing to avoid being locked in. - Porta Johns are available at this location. Check current Caneel Bay operations before visiting.
