Pool of Siloam

Pool of Siloam is a small waterfall and rock pool on Gordon Creek in the Leura area of Blue Mountains National Park. From Gordon Falls picnic area, the return walk is 1.6 km and is estimated at up to an hour. It is a good stop for a shaded creek-side break; the stairs and climb back out are the main commitment.

The path descends many steps through rainforest to the creek. Stepping stones cross the water, and the route then climbs toward Golf Links lookout. Take your time on the ascent; shoes with a good grip are useful if the track is wet.

Water drops over layered rock ledges into a small pool under ferns. Treat it as a place to pause by the creek rather than a dependable swimming hole. For a photo, include the rock ledges and water in one frame so the fall into the pool reads clearly.

If you are up for more climbing, continue to Golf Links lookout for a view across Jamison Valley toward Mount Solitary and the Three Sisters Aboriginal Place. The Pool of Siloam walk is a short section of the longer Grand Cliff Top Walk, so the waterfall can also be a stop along a bigger day on the track.
