“You're nearing Sublime Point lookout in Leura, a good choice for a quieter view across Jamison Valley. The Three Sisters appear from a less familiar angle, with Mount Solitary beyond the forest.”

This easy out-and-back follows the path from the car park at the end of Sublime Point Road to a platform above Jamison Valley. The mapped corridor is about 225 m each way, or 0.28 miles round trip; allow roughly 30 minutes with time to take in the view. The council-managed lookout sits just outside Blue Mountains National Park’s boundary, though it is included in the park’s visitor context.

A paved path leads from the car park to a picnic area, then rock steps with a handrail descend to a footbridge over a ravine. A short rocky path reaches the platform, and you return the same way. Wheelchair and stroller access reaches the picnic area but not the lookout. There is no drinking water, and pets and domestic animals are prohibited.

Look across Jamison ValleyFrom the platform, look toward Mount Solitary and the Three Sisters across the valley.

From the platform, look toward Mount Solitary and the Three Sisters across the valley. On misty mornings, Mount Solitary can rise above the cloud; in summer, gang-gangs and cockatoos feed in the casuarinas nearby. For a photo, frame the sandstone escarpment with the valley below; cloud around Mount Solitary makes a particularly distinctive view.
