You’ll reach it on foot or by mountain bike via the park’s Intrepid Trail System. Most folks start near the Visitor Center, follow the Intrepid segment toward the Colorado River Overlook, then continue on the Great Pyramid loop. The network offers choose‑your‑own‑adventure distances: roughly 1.1 miles (Intrepid), 4.2 miles (Great Pyramid), and 9 miles (Big Chief). Expect some short rock shelves and ledges on Great Pyramid—beginners may briefly dismount.
