Parking

South Shore Trailhead, behind the Two Medicine boat-rental office; parking fees and capacity were not confirmed.

Best time to go

A seasonal restroom is listed at the South Shore access. Pets are not allowed on Glacier trails. The Two Medicine Road closes to vehicles in winter; from the gate, the park describes the lake as a strenuous 16-mile snowshoe or ski trip, so the short drive-in walk is seasonal.

Safety

The trail ends at the lakeshore; watch footing near the water and give wildlife room. Pets are prohibited on park trails.

“Two Medicine Lake is ahead, with Sinopah Mountain rising across the water. You can enjoy that view from the developed shore without taking on a big hike, so I’d stop here even for a short visit.”

Hiking Paradise Point Trail

A short shoreline out-and-backParadise Point is a 1.

Paradise Point is a 1.2-mile out-and-back from the South Shore Trailhead to a small beach on Two Medicine Lake. Start behind the boat-rental office, follow the South Shore Trail for about 0.2 mile, then take the lakeward branch. Published one-way distances vary slightly, from 0.6 to 0.7 mile; the shorter figure matches the mapped walk.

The approach passes through lodgepole pine and subalpine fir, with a small meadow near the lake. At the fork, go right toward the water rather than continuing along the South Shore route. The path rolls over a low hill; the park lists about 88 feet of gain one way, and visitors mention an uphill start. It is an easy short walk, but pay attention at the junction.

The trail finishes at a small gravel-and-stone beach on the peninsula, with Two Medicine Lake and the surrounding peaks in view. There is room to pause, though the landing is modest. If the water is calm, include the rocky shoreline in the foreground to catch the mountain reflections.
