Guide
El Valle is a roadside viewpoint on the TF-24, looking across Valle de La Orotava toward Teide. It’s a worthwhile quick pull-in if you’re already on the road; there’s no trail, so expect a panorama stop rather than a walk.
The valley formed around 500,000 years ago. Its eastern edge is framed by the slopes of Tamaide, also called Santa Úrsula, and Tigaiga rises to the west. From here, the valley and Teide’s stratovolcano make one broad view.
Look toward Teide for the volcano above red volcanic ridges and pine forest; turn toward the coast for the wooded valley descending to Puerto de la Cruz and the Atlantic. At kilometre 31.7, the viewpoint has an adjacent surface parking area. Wheelchair access is limited. For the Teide view, keep some of the reddish ground in the foreground; the coastal view reads best with both the town and sea in frame.
