Trail guide
Roque del Caramujo Accessible Trail follows a nearly level path from Mirador Roque del Caramujo to the base of the rock, then back the same way. The outward path is about 210 m; plan on roughly 420 m (0.26 mi) round trip. Allow about 15 minutes if you want time to pause at the end. The route is advertised as adapted, with little slope and an average width of about 1.5 m. Its mapped surface is fine gravel, and the path ends in a roughly 7 m turning area. At more than 2,200 m elevation, it’s a gentle short walk rather than a longer hike.
The pointed Roque del Caramujo stands beside the path’s end. Turn around in the widened area and retrace the same line. The surrounding area also holds remains of shepherd huts, a small reminder of the people who used this highland landscape.
Start at Mirador Roque del Caramujo on Carretera de La Esperanza (TF-24), near km 40. Access is free and no reservation is required. Two marked parking spaces are listed for authorized vehicles; parking arrangements for other visitors aren’t clear, so check that before making the trip. No nearby services are listed, and toilets or drinking water weren’t confirmed.
