Guide
Piedra de la Rosa is a small roadside lookout on TF-21 in La Orotava, known for a flower-shaped volcanic rock. It is a brief stop rather than a hike: come for the unusual rock pattern, then take in the west-facing view toward Teide.
The lookout and the rock sit on opposite sides of TF-21, joined by a pedestrian passage beneath the road. A small parking area serves the rock side. The stop has interpretation panels and is listed as partially accessible; there is no bus stop.
Teide fills the main westward view, with La Palma's outline visible on clear days. The rock is the more distinctive photo subject: its volcanic layers spread in a petal-like pattern above a pine-covered ravine. Trees can screen parts of the lookout's wider view, so this stop is most rewarding as a quick geological curiosity rather than a long panorama.
