Trail guide
PNT 25 Recibo Quemado is a 1.76 km (1.09 mi) one-way climb from the TF-21 near the Recibo Quemado stop to the junctions with PNT 01 and PNT 22. Expect about 186 m of ascent over a short distance and allow 45 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes; published times differ, so keep the longer estimate in mind. It does not loop: retrace the route, arrange a ride from the far end, or continue on a connected trail.
The marked path starts at about 1,898 m under Canary Island pines. It climbs as the dense forest gradually opens into mountain scrub. At that transition, the rocky profiles of El Cabezón and La Fortaleza appear, with Teide and Montaña Blanca beyond them. The main effort is the sustained uphill; the route gains around 186 m before reaching the upper junction.
PNT 25 follows a short stretch of one of the old routes that climbed from the Orotava Valley to the high pastures. It makes most sense as a link in a longer walk using PNT 01, PNT 22 or PR TF 41, rather than as a loop of its own. For a photo, stop where the pines first thin and frame both rocky ridges with Teide and Montaña Blanca behind them.
